Inclusive Design Research: Advancing UX in the Social Impact Sector

In mainstream UX design, we often focus on users in urban environments with seamless internet access, smartphones, and digital familiarity. But what happens when we design for users in rural or non-urban geographies, where technology access is limited, literacy levels vary, and cultural nuances shape digital interactions?This workshop will explore design research in the social impact sector, focusing on how to understand and build for users who are not traditionally represented in mainstream UX research. Participants will dive into qualitative research methods and learn how to apply them effectively in diverse, real-world contexts.
