Designing Drone Autonomy Systems
In traditional UI & UX across the industry (mostly), we usually think of buttons, screens and data and at most with user research, services, journeys and flows. But when you are designing autonomous drones, you must think about human life-at-risk, the hardware, software, real-time data, safety protocols, redundant protocols, unpredictable environments and what not into a single experience. This talk & workshop dives into how drones operate in the real world - where regulations, weather, alarms, language barriers and physical risks (human, machine & the environment) all shape design decisions. The goal of the talk is to help you understand a new space all together, and help you prepare a mindset that you should take whenever approaching an unknown space to find, understand and design solutions.
